Monsters Overseas Tour - Mayday Parade Live in Manila

This particular concert is actually Mayday Parade's 4th in the Philippines, but since I'm fairly new to the concert scene, it was only my first time to see them live. I was not a dedicated monster until this concert, really. Roee just needed someone to accompany her during the M&G so I agreed to get the Pulp Royalty package too. And I must say, it was one of my best decisions this year! I got to meet lots of awesome new friends at the PR/VIP line outside the venue. It was as if we've known each other for a long time already! <3

Traveling with Friends 2013: Ocean Park Hong Kong

Our last day in Hong Kong was spent in Ocean Park which is a bit far from where we're staying in Mongkok. We had to take the MTR to Admiralty then ride the bus to Ocean Park. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by cute babies- felt like Disneyland all over again!

They say Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth, I beg to disagree, though. Mainly because I really can't remember much of our trip since I'm blogging about it 8 months later. Haha Anyways, our day started off early- ate breakfast at a nearby canteen for HK$33, got lost in the train station and eventually finding out that we got off the train early. We, basically, had to pay twice the fare to Disneyland because we got off at the wrong station! Pshh. Hours later, we found ourselves in Disneyland so, yay!

I forgot how much we got our Hong Kong Disneyland Park tickets for... but we bought ours in our hotel so it was a bit cheaper.
One thing good about traveling with friends is they never get tired of taking pictures- either of you or with you. They would even ask you if you're satisfied with the shot or not! Parents easily get annoyed with that and your friends don't/won't. :p

My favorite thing in all the places I've been would always have to be the kids. I mean, c'mon, look at those kids in the strollers! Aren't they the cutest? Disneyland even has a Stroller Parking in almost every corner of the park!

My favorite place in the park because it's vintage-yyyy(?)! Heee~
Don't forget to watch some of the shows in the park- just don't forget to take note of the time. We were able to watch The Golden Mickeys while we're there.

Headdresses are always fun to wear... when you can't afford them. Haha
We left right after the fireworks display in front of Cinderella's Castle. This usually marks the closing of the park. We head off to have dinner at Mcdonald's then shopped for a bit at Ladies' Market before hitting the sack.
That's it for now, I guess. My last HK blog entry will be about Ocean Park (I hope it won't take me another 8 months to write about it Haha).

Traveling with Friends 2013: Hong Kong Day 1

It has always been a dream of mine to travel with friends. One day in May, Abi sent me a message on Facebook asking if I want to go on a trip to HongKong. I said yes, of course, because who doesn't? But I had to ask permission first. The next day I asked my Mom and Dad and they instantly agreed because I said I can take care of all the expenses myself (heh). Little did my Dad know that my Mom gave me money to pay for the airfare right away as the seat sale was about to end. Also, they took care of all my expenses eventually. Hahaha parents
The entire semester was a waiting game on its own because our flight was scheduled 4 months later right in time for our semestral break. I literally took my last test for the semester and head to meet my friends and go to the airport right away. But, if anything, this trip felt more of a motivation for me to strive harder rather than just a break after all the stress.

Summer is all about getting lost in a new place and finding your way back with someone you love. My friend Maica and I had an epic time in my friend Meeren's hometown in Nagcarlan, Laguna- a place both unfamiliar to us. We literally had no idea where we're going and just followed where the countless Jeepneys we rode took us. Luckily, we arrived at past 2 in the afternoon, just in time for the Ana Kalang festival parade, safely.
